Tabaré y La Tribu (Argentina - Costa Rica - Chile - Spain) from Barcelona and the duo Manzanar (Chile - Germany) will be giving a joint concert on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 7.30 pm at Centro Machado (Severinsmühlengasse 1, 50678 Cologne) Free admission, donations will be accepted for the musicians from Barcelona.

Both music projects - TABARÉ & MANZANAR - are characterized by their deep connection to the roots, stories and landscapes of their home countries, and the cultural richness from which they draw is reflected in a variety of sounds that, combined with deeply poetic lyrics, create an authentic and interesting project of their own songs in a fusion of Latin American genres with jazz and rock.

Poetry and music merge in their songs, offering an introspective and emotional journey into the essence of life from the perspective of the peoples of the Global South and the different cultures of Latin America.

Their compositions not only evoke images and sensations, but also address contemporary issues such as environmental awareness, respect for territory, global coexistence and the importance of sustainable development, all within a context.

The cultural encounter offers the opportunity to discuss and deepen the themes and to exchange experiences and ideas with the musicians. The event is organized by Förderverein CREARTE e.V. as part of the BtE Act programme with the support of Engagement Global and Eine Welt Netz NRW e.V.

The musicians are: Tabaré Ríos (guitar and vocals), David Ugalde (keyboard), Natalia de la Fuente (vocals), David Flores (violin), Melina Montello (electric bass), Paloma Cerdá (percussion), Eduardo Cisternas (guitar, Latin American strings and vocals), Michaela Weyand (flute and vocals).

Free admission, donations for the Barcelona band will be accepted.
