Tag der Druckkunst - Monotypie im Offenen Atelier

On March 15, 2018, traditional printing techniques were added to the German UNESCO Commission's nationwide list of intangible cultural heritage.

A day to celebrate, we think! Discover monotype with us - a technique between painting, drawing and printing.

While conventional printmaking can produce many (almost) identical images, each of which is an original, a monotype (mono-, Greek "alone, only, one", and typographía "blow, impression" - "a single print") creates a single work.

The open studio is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and visitors can enter at any time. The last round at the printing press starts at 2.30 pm.
