On Saturday, December 7, 2024, the traditional Conzen frame manufactory will open its doors and cordially invites you to an exclusive tour of the workshop. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., you will have the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of our manufactory and experience how high-quality picture frames have been created using traditional craftsmanship since 1854.

Find out why we call ourselves a manufactory, how elaborate decorations and gilding are produced, how modern frames are created in their simple elegance and how works of art are safely framed and preserved. Our restorers will show you how antique frames, paintings and prints are professionally restored.

Public workshop tours at 11:30am and 1:30pm:

In our guided tours, we will tell you about the founding and development of the Conzen frame manufactory and show the impressive variety of frame styles and examples from different historical periods that we still produce today. You will find out which frames renowned artists, museums and galleries commission from us and how elaborately and individually they are made by hand.

Advice:
Our experienced restorers will be on hand to offer you their expertise on this day. They will check the condition of your works of art such as oil paintings, prints and photographs and offer you individual advice free of charge and without obligation. Gain valuable insights into the preservation and care of your art treasures.

Live demonstrations:
Our experts present various restoration and gilding techniques and show how your works of art can be protected by the correct frame mounting. Experience the care and precision that has been passed on in our manufactory for 170 years.
