Tag der Raumfahrt: Mit #teamspace von Jena zu den Sternen

On Friday, March 28 and Saturday, March 29, 2025, many space locations - companies, research institutes, planetariums, etc. - will open their doors or offer hands-on activities.

There is now space travel almost everywhere in Germany, including - and above all with a long tradition - in Jena!

On both days, we/ Jena-Optronik GmbH will be presenting the topic "Space travel from Jena" in cooperation with the Ernst Abbe Library in the EAB premises in the city center (Engelplatz 2, 07743 Jena).

We have put together an ALL-encompassing program. The lectures and experiments for all age groups will be organized by our #teamspace.

Product exhibition "Sensors from Jena - then and now" and lectures on space travel in Jena:

• Space missions on environmental and climate protection with contributions from Jena
• On the way to the moon, Mars and beyond with laser sensors from Jena
• A success story "Made in Jena": How Jena-Optronik became the world market leader for space sensors
• From space for the earth: the importance of satellites for our everyday lives

Discussion rounds for young people

• How do I become an astronaut?
• What exactly is a star sensor? And how does it take us to the moon?
• What is a LiDAR sensor? And what does it do on Mars?

In the workshop, there is plenty to tinker with, experiment with and discover, as well as insights:

• Fit for space: how space sensors are made and on these missions!

In the children's library, galactic stories are read aloud to children aged three and over.

Another highlight on Friday evening at 18:00 is an interactive comic reading with the Jena artist Beetlebum!
