Takis Würger: „Für Polina“ Eine musikalische Lesung

Thinking outside the box, across borders and cultures: this is the characteristic of German bestselling author and journalist Takis Würger, who was born in Hamburg in 1985 and has lived in various countries. He has reported from Afghanistan, Libya and Iraq for "Der Spiegel". His best-known work is "The Club", which deals with the topics of power, violence and human relationships.

His latest novel was published in February 2025: "For Polina" tells a love story between the protagonists Polina and Hannes that is as tender as it is captivating and ultimately outshines everything else. Music, a wondrous melody - and indeed Munich's Prinzregententheater, where Hannes and Polina meet - play an important role, if not the leading role. How fitting, then, that the author, together with pianist and composer Florian Heinisch, brings this love story to the stage of the Prinzregententheater in a live musical reading, thus making the touching story "For Polina" an impressive acoustic experience - as a unique and multidimensional work of art in a place where the novel takes place and as an atmospherically dense interplay of reading and music, including works by Franz Liszt, Ludwig van Beethoven and others from classical or neoclassical music.

Florian Heinisch studied piano at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Leipzig and attended master classes with renowned pianists. He has won prizes at prestigious competitions and enjoys designing concert programs that combine classical works with new music or present his own compositions.
