How do artistic comics make social issues visible? Barbara Yelin gives an insight into the collaborative comic project "Wie geht es Dir?", for which she spoke to people who are currently affected by anti-Semitism and racism. Jutta Pilgram will read from her forthcoming graphic novel "Glaub mir", a coming-of-age story about the friendship between two girls growing up in a strictly Catholic and an Islamic family.

Barbara Yelin is an award-winning graphic novel artist from Munich. Her latest publication is "Emmie Arbel. The Color of Memory" (Reprodukt, 2023). She was recently awarded the Schwabinger Kunstpreis 2024.

Jutta Pilgram is a comic artist from Munich and was previously an editor at the Süddeutsche Zeitung for many years. Her short comics are published by Jaja-Verlag. "Glaub mir" is her first longer graphic novel. juttapilgram.de
