Ausverkauft | Tamino - EU Intimate Release Shows

In the organizer's words:

Tamino presents his new album at an exclusive live show in Berlin in March

It is always a great pleasure to be in a room where Tamino-Amir Moharam Fouad makes music. In recent years, the Belgian with Egyptian roots has gone from being a hotly tipped newcomer to an established singer and songwriter under the name Tamino. Live, he often needs little more than his charismatic, deep, warm voice and his unique string playing - on an acoustic guitar, a reverberated electric guitar or even on his Egyptian lute, an oud. Tamino's previously released albums "Amir" (2018) and "Sahar" (2022) and songs such as "Indigo Night", "Habibi", "Sunflower" and "Persephone" blend the influences of classic pop and folk songwriters with the longing, poetry and flow of Egyptian folk music. The latter was close to Tamino from the very beginning, as it was his paternal grandfather, the Egyptian musician and actor Muharram Fouad, who motivated Tamino to make music. His Belgian mother also loved this music, but also played Satie, Chopin and the Beatles to her son.

On March 21, Tamino will release his third album "Every Dawn's A Mountain", which will be characterized above all by the sound of his oud, which has become his favourite instrument in the studio and on stage in recent years. His label "Communion" revealed in advance that the record is about "loss, repression, departure and letting go of the past". The album is characterized by the "feeling of a cleansing fire". The advance single "Babylon" already shows what this could sound like: Here, too, Tamino begins reduced with oud and voice until the song gradually picks up more instruments to rise up as a dramatic lament at the end.

Tamino, who now lives in New York, will present "Every Dawn's A Mountain" live in Europe and the USA in March and April as part of intimate club shows. In Germany, he will only be seen in Berlin, where he will perform at the Colosseum on March 7.
