Indie rock with punk and ska influences

Aunt Ernst comes to visit - you never thought you'd need one. Then she pops into your life and you dread the day when she's no longer playing in your speakers. In a junkyard in Cologne, the anti-superheroine is brought to life. In the rehearsal room, four guys have been tirelessly tinkering with the musical guise of their aunt since 2018. An obtrusive guitar sound with a penchant for the offbeat, detailed bass grooves and powerful drums. Rounded off by sometimes profound, sometimes obtuse lyrics, sonorously narrated with a concise voice. The result is a quirky but unpretentious figure who is never too good for a wink. Everything will be fine now!

Stereokult have been playing since 2000 and are bringing their third album "Auf besonderen Wunsch eines einzelnen Herrn" to the Blue Shell.

ShoppingVenture

ShoppingVenture is a German-language indie rock band from Cologne-Dellbrück. Under the motto "new German urgency", the four young musicians create danceable grooves and melodies that stay in your ears. Lyrics and sound are sometimes angry, sometimes euphoric, sometimes about animals, sometimes about the end of the world, but always with a healthy dash of humor and the joy of experimentation. ShoppingVenture brings a unique energy to the stage from the very first second. When the cow sets the farm on fire and the next moment the band and audience are dancing "Samba on Mars" together, the joy of playing gets you in your legs. By the time the fishy "Koi Boys" come on, everyone has dived deep into the ShoppingVenture cosmos and doesn't want to return to the surface any time soon. This is the pulse of the times, this is what the new escapism sounds like.
