Tantshoyz -Klezmer with friends im Gohliser Schlösschen

In the organizer's words:

Dancing to the sounds of klezmer music in the beautiful Gohliser Schlösschen. Under the guidance of dance master Yeva Lapsker, traditional klezmer dances will be performed together. Guaranteed: Great dances, fresh live music and a good atmosphere.

Born in Leningrad and now moored on the water in Hamburg, freelance artist Yeva Lapsker became a traveler between languages and countries, worlds and times after studying at the University of Heidelberg and the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research in New York.

Her work in various theaters, with Tango Argentino and the Yiddish language and culture paved the way for her fascination and later work with Yiddish dance and led her to numerous international festivals, including Yiddish Summer Weimar, KlezKanada, Yiddish New York and Ashkenaz Toronto.

Yeva is a co-founder of Shtetl Berlin e.V. and continues to devote herself to dance, numerous video and multimedia projects for live concerts, theatrical clowning and translation work, and was part of the Grammy-winning Netflix series "Unorthodox" as a choreographer. Two of her most recent dance projects - both solo and with other artists - took to the stage in Hamburg as "Performing Denkmal" and "Di Goldene Argentine" .
