The G7 summit with the heads of government of the seven economically strongest western countries takes place at Dankerode Castle in Germany. It is therefore Chancellor Hilda Ortmann's (Cate Blanchett) job to play host. Also at the table are Canada's Prime Minister Maxime Laplace (Roy Dupuis), Great Britain's Prime Minister Cardosa Dewindt (Nikki Amuka-Bird), US President Edison Wolcott (Charles Dance), Italy's Prime Minister Antontio Lamorte (Rolando Ravello) and Japan's envoy Tasuro Iwasaki (Takehiro Hira). As is almost traditional, it once again seems impossible to reach a common denominator for the final declaration. Time passes, night falls and worrying noises come from outside. (filmstars.de)
