To round off the season, Oper Frankfurt invites you to an extraordinary concert project at the Bockenheimer Depot. At this cross between an orchestral concert and a dance party, the audience is greeted at the entrance with the relaxed sounds of a small jazz combo and General Music Director Thomas Guggeis at the piano, before the Frankfurt Opera and Museum Orchestra performs and the actual concert begins.
The program includes the Tap Dance Concerto by Morton Gould, in which David Friederich takes on the role of soloist as a tap dancer, as well as other orchestral works, arias and hits from the 1920s and 1930s by composers such as Ernst Fischer, Eduard Künneke and Paul Abraham. Another highlight is a rousing Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwin with General Music Director Thomas Guggeis on the piano.
In the second part of the concert, the audience itself is invited onto the dance floor and has the opportunity to shake a leg to the sounds of the large orchestra. And those who still haven't had enough can continue to "dance into summer" to the sounds of Timcat.
The evening will be hosted by Aileen Schneider, the 2022 Hesse Poetry Slam champion. FRANKFURTER NEUE KÜCHE will provide drinks and snacks.
