Tanzendes Meer: Gastspiel des Badischen Staatstheaters

As part of "FLOW - Days of Sustainability", the Staatstheater is a guest at the ZKM with the spatial sound installation by the Taiwanese-Austrian composer Shih with the Orchester des Wandels and GMD Georg Fritzsch. The spatial sound composition, performed live as a concert, artistically recreates the inner life of the sea.

The idea for the commission came to Fritzsch in a room of the Naturkundemuseum Kiel, a Gropius building, the starting point of marine research in general, from where Möbius set off on research trips and discovered plankton.

The pop-up concert will be followed by a discussion with the cell and developmental biologist Prof. Thomas Bosch, the composer Shih and Alistair Hudson. We also invite you to guided tours through "Fellow Travelers", to marine studies by Courbet and Schirmer in the Kunsthalle Karlsruhe and to the Singing Plants in the ZKM Hertzlab.
