tanzfuchs PRODUKTION: BÄÄÄM

Can you see the sound? Can you feel the rhythm in your belly? Can you feel the melody dancing across your skin? In BÄÄÄM, the audience embarks on an expedition into the world of music, sound and tones together with three performers with different auditory perceptions. Humorous, quirky, playful, crazy, at odds - the residual performer Angelika Henning, the dancer Moonjoo Kim and the musician Rie Watanabe create a participatory dance and sound laboratory for seeing and feeling.

Barbara Fuchs founded the label tanzfuchs PRODUKTION in Cologne in 2003. Since then, together with the composer Jörg Ritzenhoff, she has been exploring new artistic spaces at the interface between acoustics and dance. Barbara Fuchs realized her first work for children up to the age of two in 2009 as part of take-off: Junger Tanz. Barbara Fuchs is thus one of the pioneers of dance art for very young audiences in Germany. Barbara Fuchs and Jörg Ritzenhoff have produced 19 pieces for a young and intergenerational audience under the label tanzfuchs PRODUKTION and as part of guest choreographies. Tours have taken the company across Germany, to 14 European countries and to Japan. tanzfuchs PRODUKTION has been nominated and awarded several times.

In 2021, the company created its first dance production with integrated audio description. With BÄÄÄM ( previous working title KRACH?!) , Barbara Fuchs and her artistic team are continuing their artistic research into "hearing".
