In "And for the time being", choreographer, performer and filmmaker Ian Kaler explores traces of autobiography as a choreographic setting. Drawing on his interest in autofiction as a writing practice and the development of fictional characters based on personal experience, he creates a dreamlike encounter with a horse - his scene partner and alter ego. Creative captions, which Kaler uses to expand the concept of conventional subtitling, create a parallel narrative level. The intimate stage action merges with the atmospheric electronic soundtrack by French music producer rRoxymore, a long-time artistic companion of Kaler.
