In this tasting, we look at the 400-year-old history of the juniper distillate. The gin hype has spawned an unmanageable number of new brands, most of which come in eye-catching bottles with a chic design. New flavors are constantly being added to juniper.
But how did it all begin? What did the very first juniper distillates taste like and who came up with the great idea of adding quinine-containing effervescence - better known today as tonic water - to gin?
In a small group, we will delve into the history of gin with you and get to the bottom of these questions.
