The young, ambitious Iranian judoka Leila is traveling to the Judo World Championships in Tbilisi with her coach Maryam. Her biggest dream: to bring home the first gold medal for Iran. When it emerges during the competition that she could face a rival from Israel, the Tehran regime gets nervous. To avoid the humiliation of a possible defeat, Leila is given an ultimatum: She is to fake an injury and pull out of the competition. Should she refuse and continue fighting, she would immediately be considered a traitor to the state.
