TAU 5

In the organizer's words:

Tau 5 deals with complex rhythms, the fusion of electronic and acoustic sounds and the combination of the most diverse styles against the background of the newer jazz tradition. Similar to a rock band, Tau works in a collective process of composition, improvisation and arrangement.

The five excellent musicians from the current Berlin Neukölln and Cologne jazz scene find their common musical multiplicity in a mixture of free jazz, avant-garde, electronica and hip-hop elements. They make use of both acoustic and electronic sounds, bringing together high-class live improv with notated music. State of the art!
