Taxi Salon: Ryosuke Kiyasu + Violeta García + Svartvit + Martin Krejci

The upcoming Taxi Salon explores the visceral extremes of noise using prepared instruments and instrumented bodies.

Ryosuke Kiyasu (Japan)

Ryosuke Kiyasu is an internationally acclaimed snare drum soloist. Armed with only a snare drum and a couple of drumsticks, he has been captivating audiences with performances exploring the full spectrum of sonic possibilities one instrument can offer. Known for his innovative performances, Kiyasu is also the drummer for renowned groups such as SETE STAR SEPT, Kiyasu Orchestra, and Keiji Haino's band Fushitsusha. As a founding member of the Canadian band The Endless Blockade, he has contributed significantly to the global music scene.

Violeta García (Argentina)

Violeta García is a cellist, improviser and composer based in between Switzerland, Barcelona and Buenos Aires. She is a performer in many art forms, including free improvisation, contemporary and trans-media experimental repertoire in violoncello and electronics. At the moment she is eager to improvise, compose and create new sounds experiment with extended techniques, prepared instrument and work with dynamic, rhythmic and original tuneful combinations in her intensities and visceral performances. She also is part of the band Blanco Teta, the main project she tour around the world and also this 2025 is presenting her third soloist album by the swiss label Bongo Joe.

Svartvit (Netherlands)

Svartvit is active in the extremities of noise and experimental music since 2009. He creates corporeal sonic landscapes that pulsate with raw intensity. Inspired in equal parts by Fluxus and ASMR. A perverse auditory maze that invades the senses with unsettling intimacy. Dabbling in the grotesque, it captures the visceral essence of dripping saliva as an instrument of disquiet. Each step further unfurls a nightmarish journey, punctuated by convulsive eruptions of sound. Compelling us to confront our raw, corporeal reality and embrace the abjection that ensues.

institute for abjection and contemplation (Munich)

Born in Linz/Upper Austria in 1969, conceptual artist Martin Krejci studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and has been running the Institut für Leistungsabfall und Kontemplation since 2000, which has since presented itself internationally in the fields of noise music, spectacular sound orgy and agitative performance.
