The smells of half-smoked cigarettes and stale beer cans emanate from an empty greenhouse in the Hamburg countryside. Australian indie charts alternate with long-forgotten rock and hip hop classics from blaring cell phone speakers. The lovingly christened 'Tee Haus', formerly a farm for growing tulips and daffodils, is the breeding ground for five friends and their love of music. This dusty pile of rubble eventually became the name of the band Tea House, founded in 2018. In their self-built studio between ditches and dykes, they create indie, funk and reggae, ranging from planks to ballads. No money, no know-how but plenty of good humor provide the basis for a refreshing and varied sound.
