The duo exhibition TECHNOSYMBIOSIS , curated by Peggy Schoenegge, explores the symbiotic relationship between humans and technology. Austrian artist Dagmar Schürrer and Dutch-American artist Jess Tucker show how digital media is transforming our understanding of identity, society and reality. Using augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR) and artificial intelligence (AI), they create artistic and immersive visual worlds in which we can immerse ourselves. Their works open up a hybrid space for reflection that reflects the characteristic features of our post-digital age and makes them tangible. In doing so, the artists question the traditional separation between culture and nature. They consider the fusion of man and technology that is taking place through the establishment of new media as an integral part of our everyday lives. TECHNOSYMBIOSIS invites viewers to actively participate in this transformation and to reflect on their own media use in terms of a broad understanding of media.
