In the multi-layered oeuvre of Teho Teardo and Blixa Bargeld, their joint ventures have long since become a constant since the celebrated debut STILL SMILING (2013), occupying a special place in the overall work of the two solitaries with each new flash. The subtle interplay of the Italian composer and the German Dada veteran Bargeld (Einstürzende Neubauten) combines avant-garde and cuddliness, cacophony and composition, linguistic abyss and beauty. So it can be assumed that their entourage of loyal fans has long been waiting to finally hear something new from that unique collaboration. And this wait will come to an end this year, which should please on several levels - in retrospect, in the experience of authenticity of the present, in outlook: A live album of the legendary 2022 performance at Silent Green, an old crematorium in Berlin's Wedding, has been announced, as well as a European tour (see below for dates), and then, perhaps even as a harbinger of a third album, an EP with new music. Live, Bargeld and Teardo will share the stage with solo cellist Laura Bisceglia and Gabriele Coen on bass clarinet, who, supported by a string quartet, will play from the complete works that meander through philosophy and art history. But also new pieces will be heard, which these days are growing into the mentioned and still untitled EP: BISOGNA MORIRE, also known as HOMO FUGIT VELUT UMBRA (Man flees like a shadow), a passacaglia and a kind of dance of death, then the piece STARKREGEN, RIMANGONO (engl."Bleib übrig!" - a greeting from the post-war period) and DEAR CARLO, which Blixa wrote in correspondence with an Italian astrophysicist, with whom he exchanges views - not without hilarity - about the nature of the universe. First impressions promise: the space created between Bargeld's multifaceted voice, his incomparable lyrical work and Teardo's complex arrangements has gained even more depth. - Tour 2023
