TEKKNO.BIER

TEKKNO.BIER describe their music as glitter punk, but this description alone does not do them full justice. The musical characteristics of the three-piece band from Freiburg also include influences from 2-step, techno, fun punk and, above all, ska punk that is almost two octaves lower. The techno and 2-step beats don't come out of a can here, however, but are neatly hand-knitted by the drummer. The drummer accompanies and underpins his fresh rhythms with spherical synth loops, while the guitarist contributes plenty of scrubbing riffs - and as a special highlight, the singer not only sings, but also plays an impressive baritone saxophone. The three guys obviously don't take themselves too seriously and also seem to be amused by their music, which makes an extremely likeable impression overall.

According to their own slogan, TEKKNO.BIER were "loud and danceable, against all rules and a lot of fun"!
