Indie concert at KESSELHAUS

After a sold-out tour last year, Telquist returns to the country's stages in December to counter the monotony of the local music landscape with his idea of indie and pop music: Unmistakably idiosyncratic, always catchy and yet complex, Sebastian Eggerbauer alias Telquist tinkers with music that ignores current trends and still reaches people with its unmistakable approachability. Almost 30 million Spotify streams, a Netflix intro and appearances on TV shows such as "Ina's Nacht" speak for themselves. After more than four years, a new album including several pre-release singles is finally to be released. The basis of the music is still often a pop song written in a classical manner, which is so unconventionally orchestrated that it is difficult to identify role models. Sampling, which is at best known from hip-hop, here, reminiscences of electronic greats such as Moby or Fred Again there. A little MGMT, a little Beck. But at its core it always remains, there's no other way to put it: Telquist.
