thalhaus Jazz Session

In the organizer's words:

It's no longer an insider's tip among jazz fans: once a month, a wide variety of musicians from Wiesbaden and the region come together for an informal, unscheduled and improvised concert - the "Jazz Session" at the thalhaus Theater.
With Free admission and in a cozy atmosphere, visitors can experience how musicians meet on stage, play melodies and improvise freely. This is also known in the scene as a jam session. The principle of participation is the same: jazz standards form the musical framework. Everything is free. Only the tempo is agreed; further details emerge from the action.
The musicians do not isolate themselves. At thalhaus, they become part of the setting. The audience too, by the way. Anyone who likes can simply come on stage and join in spontaneously after the thalhaus jazz trio of piano, bass and drums has opened the session. Everything else happens by itself. The result is a unique concert. A concert that will only take place once and in this composition. Because nobody knows beforehand who has found their way to the Nero Valley as guest musicians to spontaneously play along and add musical variety to the session.
The jazz session takes place on the first Wednesday of every month during the thalhaus season. Admission is free. No seat reservation, no ticket. If you want, you can drop an appropriate donation for the session trio in the box. And when things get hot on stage, the thalhaus team will provide cool drinks with its friendly service.
