Christian Wolff (Ben Affleck) has a talent for solving complicated problems. When an old companion is murdered and leaves behind a cryptic message telling him to "find the accountant", Wolff is forced to take on the case. He soon realizes that drastic steps are unavoidable. So he calls in his estranged and highly dangerous brother Brax (Jon Bernthal) as backup. Together with Marybeth Medina (Cynthia Addai-Robinson), the deputy director of the US Treasury Department, they uncover a deadly conspiracy.
