Jever Live presents at Hafenbahnhof: The Bliss & The Radio Field
The songs of The Radio Field bore their way through my auditory canal like a nasty little alien worm straight into the feel-good center of my brain - and stay there forever! The debut Simple EP, which Lars (you know him from the institutional Düsseldorf band Subterfuge) recorded all by himself, was already terrific, now finally comes the first album 'Don'ts And Dos'. The ten tracks, recorded in bassist Christoph's Domblick Studio in Cologne and enhanced with a number of prominent guests (Robert Stadtlober, Stefanie Schrank, Phantom Handshakes, Bukahara), are hits across the board! And catchy tunes! And milestones! Or what do you call songs that you can sing along to immediately and never forget?" MARK KOWARSCH (Sharon Stoned, Speedniggs, Antibody on ByteFM)
THE RADIO FIELD: What began as a lockdown home recording project by Lars [Subterfuge] has now grown into a passable band of old acquaintances with Christoph Schneider [Klee, Clayton Farlow, Soccer], Philipp Breuer [Pale] and Mark Specht [formerly Subterfuge]. The debut album Don'ts and Dos has been available since 2023, and the second single It's Alright for the second LP to be released in September on Less Records / Subjangle / Cargo Records will be released on June 20.
Get ready for The Bliss! With double bass and a good dose of joy in their luggage, they deliver songs about the important things: love, freedom and having fun in the moment. Their sound? An explosive mix of garage, indie and rock'n'roll that simply goes off live. If you want to see for yourself, July 1 is the perfect opportunity. Come along and celebrate with them!
