The Cologne duo the bottomline has already caused quite a stir with its unique genre mix of jazz, classical and trip-hop. Franzis Lating (vocals, piano, synthesizer) and Johannes Elia Nuß (drums, synthesizer) do not shy away from dealing with the difficult themes of life in their music in a serious and humorous way. Lyrical figures, polyrhythmic overlays, coordinated interplay, unusual song structures and the remarkably artistic expression of Franzis' voice form the common core of their unmistakable compositions and intense live shows.
