On October 3, two bands at the OFF Church in Oberbilk/Düsseldorf want to get to the bottom of these places.

Jule Blumt is a trio from Düsseldorf - voice, piano, cello - that sets stories to music that you would otherwise only hear half asleep. They toured France in 2023 with their debut album "Aphrodite schreit", followed by the City of Düsseldorf Music Prize in 2024.

Their songs are like nocturnal embraces: tender, confused, unexpected. They tell of mountains that no one climbs, of detours that lead to the destination, of encounters that you never forget.

Jule Blumt is always on the move - in search of the moment when a dream suddenly takes root. Or takes off.

Always in search of what life is really about, with the intention of making the incomprehensible recognizable, with an insatiable hunger for artistic development and a new musical language, the bottomline move on the threshold of many musical traditions and know how to skilfully combine them into something familiar and yet unknown at the same time.

From jazz to classical music, from electronic spheres to cinematic film music, Franzis Lating (vocals, piano, synthesizer) and Johannes Elia Nuß (drums, synthesizer) are not afraid to venture into unexplored realms.
Lyrical figures, polyrhythmic overlays, coordinated interplay, unusual song structures and the remarkably artistic expression of Franzi's voice form the common core of their unmistakable compositions and intense live shows.
