The Dark Rooms Hotel

In the organizer's words:

For just a few days, an abandoned hotel**** in the center of Berlin will be transformed into an intense art experience.

This abandoned place was once full of life: People came and went, celebrated, loved, argued and dreamed. The rooms still carry these invisible stories within them.

On 10 levels, 15 international artists create light and sound installations. The works tell stories that would otherwise remain hidden - topics that we miss and that our society seems to overlook. They will amaze, sometimes confuse and encourage.

The hotel becomes a time capsule. The silent corridors, with their thick, worn carpeting, muffle footsteps and allow visitors to glide almost silently through the deserted corridors. The darkness sharpens the senses.

Without any clear orientation, guests explore the levels, discovering hidden rooms containing audiovisual installations time and again. Most of the works are premieres and are being shown in Berlin for the first time.

This is the last opportunity to explore the old hotel: The building will be demolished shortly afterwards.

Across 10 levels, 15 international artists will create light and sound installations. Their works tell stories that would otherwise remain hidden-topics we long for and that society seems to overlook. These will astonish, sometimes confuse, and offer encouragement.

The hotel becomes a time capsule. The silent hallways, with their thick, worn-out carpets, muffle footsteps, allowing visitors to glide almost soundlessly through the abandoned corridors. Darkness heightens the senses.

Without clear direction, guests explore the different floors, constantly discovering hidden rooms housing audiovisual installations. Most of the works are premieres, being shown in Berlin for the first time.

This is the last chance to wander the halls of the old hotel: shortly after, the building will be demolished.
