Germany's beat band no. 1
Anyone who is still musically stuck in the sixties but still wants to get a breath of fresh air through their ear canals will get their money's worth with this band. They have eight albums on the market and they get better every time. All the album covers are stolen from the sixties and recreated down to the last detail. The Lords' "Good Side of June", for example, became "Bad Side of July", with the same layout. The highlight to date is the 3 x 10" LP box set "The Trilogy OF Beat" released in 2014. The Stones blues like in the old days and sends shivers of delight down your spine and only the album cover reveals nothing Stones, The Dukes of Hamburg!
In 2017, the ninth album was released on vinyl with the title "Germany's Newest Hitmakers". In Japan, the album is also available on CD and, as usual, is always better than the last album. In the past, they have also attracted the attention of the beat community through their tours of Italy, Spain, France, Switzerland and of course Germany, but now the Dukes Of Hamburg are celebrating their concerts as "Europe's Best Beat Band" to an extent that is unparalleled in terms of energy in this genre. Their concerts are described by fans and media alike as "top-class events".
