DER WAHNSINN continues:

A film and discussion series by SHG-Kliniken Sonnenberg, the Camera Zwo cinema and POPSCENE magazine on socially relevant psychiatric and medical topics. As part of this project, films that build a bridge to psychiatric and medical topics are screened at Camera Zwo. After each screening, Priv.-Doz. Dr. med. Ulrich Seidl, Medical Director and Chief Physician of the Clinic for Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics, invites the audience to join him and invited guests for an exchange and discussion.

Admission costs €7.50 per performance, starting at 18:30.

The Father

Anne (Olivia Colman) is very worried about her father Anthony (Anthony Hopkins). A proud man experienced in life, he refuses any assistance from a carer despite his advanced age and steadfastly refuses to leave his comfortable London apartment. Although his memory is increasingly failing him, he is convinced that he can still manage on his own. But when Anne suddenly tells him that she is moving to Paris to be with her new boyfriend, he is confused. So who is this stranger in his living room who claims to have been married to Anne for over ten years? And why does this man claim that Anthony is living as a guest in her apartment and not in his own apartment? Anthony tries to understand the constantly changing circumstances and begins to doubt more and more: his loved ones, his mind and finally his own perception.
