The Flabbies

In the organizer's words:

The Flabbies were founded in 2015 by childhood friends Oguz Kont and Sarp Daglar Sahin in Istanbul after working together on various projects for over a decade. Their debut single "Gentrification" in 2015, followed by an independent 3-song EP, brought a new sound to the Turkish music scene.

After the EP "2015", they released their album "Back in Town" with 7 tracks, which attracted a lot of media attention and led to live performances and guest appearances on various programs. In 2016, their track "Afterclap" accompanied a promotional video with FIAT, which increased their popularity. Her single "Turkish" in 2018 increased her global reach.

In response to the pandemic, they produced 'Under the Sun', their first remotely recorded single in 2020. Building on this momentum, they embarked on a new album journey in late 2021. In 2022, they became a trio with Can Sürmen on drums and opened a new chapter with "Jungle" in April 2022, followed by their second album "ALIVE", a genre-bending fusion of disco, shoegaze and psychedelia. From smaller venues to large festival stages, and with a new EP on the horizon ahead of their European tour, The Flabbies continue to invite music lovers around the world to join them on their journey, evolving their dynamic sound with each performance.
