A blend of dark new wave and explosive post-punk
Since their formation in Copenhagen in 2009, THE FOREIGN RESORT have dedicated over a decade to refining a sound that explodes with the raw energy of post-punk and delves into dark shades of melancholy. Their work is characterized by its diversity and tension, embodying both light and dark moods and imbued with an emotional depth that is immediately resonant. (post-punk.com)
The Foreign Resort tour relentlessly, addicted to the allure of America's lost highways. They've shared stages with bands like Cold Cave, Killing Joke, The Soft Moon, She Past Away and many more. Since 2010, the band has played more than 600 shows across North America and Europe, including appearances at various festivals such as SXSW, Iceland Airwaves, Canadian Music Week, POP Montreal, Nocturnal Culture Night, Wave Gotik Treffen and W-Fest.
The trio released the album "Outnumbered" in 2019 , the EP "The Rabbit Hole" in 2020 and "OutRemixed" in 2021. The latest single "Resound" from the band's upcoming album was released on March 15, 2024 - all releases on Artoffact Records.

Since 1999, TUNES OF DAWN have established themselves as a permanent fixture in the Berlin independent scene. Founded by Hagen Schneevoigt (vocals and bass) and Martin Schorlemmer (drums). René Gödde (guitar) and Gunter Büchau (keyboards) completed the line-up at the end of the year.
As the quartet comes from such diverse backgrounds as death metal, metal, hard rock, classical and art rock, it was natural for them to help themselves to the fruits presented to them in the great garden of music. This has resulted in a distinctive style that never gets boring. Likewise, they stand for creating contrasts in their lyrics and are known for igniting a small light even in the deepest darkness, preparing for the dawn to come.
Tunes Of Dawn's last album to date, "Final Departures", was released in 2014 . After that, it became a little quieter around the band, with only the single "Farewell" being released in 2016. Drummer Martin Schorlemmer left the band and the search for a replacement proved difficult. By this time, side projects had already been created. Hagen Schneevoigt had already joined the Berlin band Scream Silence, which was joined shortly afterwards by René Gödde. Meanwhile, Gunter Büchau began playing with the Golden Apes.
Finally, the task of finding a new drummer was accomplished with Rob DeVille, the former lead singer and mastermind of Enemy I, who joined the band in 2017. Not only did he fill the void beautifully, but he also brought immense production and recording expertise to the band. This proved invaluable in the coming lockdown periods, where the band was able to hold together by producing new songs and releasing them as singles in 2021 and 2022.
Putting the corona crisis behind them, Tunes Of Dawn are finally back on stage and ready to present a journey through their evolution at upcoming shows. They are also continuing their journey through the realm of music with the next productions already in the works.
