The Fruits of our Trees – Sahra Abbassi

The mixed-media performance "The Fruits of our Trees" creates a space full of potential for intimacy. Viewers enter this space, which resembles a different universe: time seems to move differently, one's own body feels strange and at the same time safe there - because this space belongs to those who created it. Together with her performers, Sahra Abbassi searches for intimacy and its potential in self-determined spaces created by BIPoC FLINTA people. How do they tell each other stories, listen to each other, hold each other, sing and dance together - and how does the performer stay with themselves at the same time? Forms of expression from contemporary dance and ballroom culture come together to create an intimate atmosphere between the performers and with the audience.
