In 2016, two of the most important pop stars in history went on tour together under the title "Rock, Paper, Scissors". Sting and Peter Gabriel performed together with their two bands of world-class musicians and combined their countless hits on stage to their heart's content. Until now, this unique concert event could only be experienced live in North America, but that is about to change.

Reggatta de Blanc and Mercy Street are regarded throughout Europe as the best tribute bands for Sting/The Police and Peter Gabriel and are combining all the hits of the two music icons from Roxanne and Sledgehammer to Every Breath You Take and Don't Give Up to Solsbury Hill and Englishman in N.Y. in one show with a 13-piece band under the title "SCISSORS | STONE | PAPER".

The concerts from fall 2025 are set to be special experiences: "It won't just be two bands playing their concert one after the other," explain the two frontmen Mick Griese (Reggatta) and Ulf Pohlmeier (Mercy Street), "just as Sting and Peter Gabriel did almost a decade ago, we are uniting our two bands for a joint musical journey through the work of these two superstars."

For 36 years now and more than 1,500 concerts, Reggatta de Blanc has been the longest-serving tribute band on the stages of Europe. There is almost no club, venue or festival where Reggatta have not yet played. And they never tire of it - on the contrary - there are still so many live versions of their role model to tribute, one of which is the project around the two superstars Peter Gabriel and Sting mentioned here.

Since their formation in 2015,Mercy Street have earned themselves a reputation as the best Peter Gabriel tribute band in Europe. The Rheinische Post writes, "Mercy Street concerts are a gigantic hymn to the intelligent, meaningful compositions of Peter Gabriel, are a must for friends and connoisseurs, a must for Gabriel fans."

For the Neue Westfälische Zeitung, Mercy Street are more than just a tribute band, "they have grasped the spirit of Gabriel".

With the combination of these two exceptional bands, the "SCHERE | STEIN | PAPIER" concerts guarantee an extraordinary tribute show at the highest musical level.
