The Grexits - ON THE HIGHWAY TO HELLAS

The Munich band The Grexits, led by Nikos Papadopoulos, combines Greek rembetiko, the "Greek blues", with pop, surf, punk and psychedelic. Founded at charity concerts in 2013/14, the band developed an independent style that deliberately transcends genre boundaries. Their debut album (2017) features Rembetiko classics, while on "For Sale" (2019) other influences gain in importance. The Kinks' song "Tired Of Waiting For You" becomes a lament in their version. The band: Nikos Papadopoulos (vocals, guitar), Albert Pöschl (guitar), Simon Dieu (bass), Josip Pavlov (drums).

Bird Control - THE FUTURE SOUND OF TRASH

Bird Control is a Berlin band that combines garage punk, psychedelia and West Coast sound. The members, experienced musicians from bands such as Jeans Team and Mucus 2, have been shaping underground sound since the 90s. Their style, developed in the Berlin studio since 2021, combines driving beats, guitar noise and experimental influences. They return to the stage live in 2023. Bird Control: Gunther Kreis (drums), Andrew Pekler (guitar), Stefan Rohmund (guitar), Chris Schmitt (guitar, vocals).
