The Infinite Chocolate Jar & Jam Session

In the organizer's words:

As part of the Augsburg Jazz Rhythms (swing dance festival), The Infinite Chocolate Jar from Berlin will be playing at our closing party. They will play a set and afterwards everyone is invited to jam along with the band. Bring your instruments and become part of the band.

The Infinite Chocolate Jar plays swing, jazz and blues for dancers. Inspired by the originators and innovators of the various jazz eras, they also bring their own ideas and experiences to their arrangements. Their musical repertoire focuses on the swing grooves of the 30s to 50s, but also dares to explore other genres within the continuum of African-American and Afro-diasporic music.

But it's not just about the music for them. Music is culture, and through music they want to promote a culture of belonging and sharing while emphasizing diversity within music and the community. This is also reflected in their name: life is like an infinite jar of chocolate - and every bite comes with a sweet surprise.

Speaking of surprises: You'd be amazed at the many talents in the band: the seven band members live in Berlin, but come from five different corners of the world (Belgium, Germany, Tenerife, USA, Venezuela), play at least ten different instruments and probably own twice as many. In addition to their passion for music, they also have many other skills that they bring to the swing community and beyond. Which ones exactly? Ask them yourself!

But don't worry before you do: they'll bring their coolest riffs for your dancing passion and pour fire as well as driving rhythms into your swinging hearts!
