With their fresh and gripping sound, The Jakob Manz Project is one of the most successful bands in young German jazz. Their music is strongly inspired by jazz rock and funk, but is enriched by the four artists' personalities with their numerous influences from soul, pop, world music and hip-hop. Even though the young band leader's saxophone is usually at the center of attention, each musical individual in the band is clearly reflected in every live concert. This can also be seen in the diverse pieces, which are original compositions by each band member.

From catchy grooves, passionate solos and sophisticated interplay to crystal-clear, spherical or even melancholic sounds - their performances are dynamic, lively and provide unforgettable experiences. Hardly any other young band triggers such storms of enthusiasm among their audiences. Whether club or large festival stage, the unmistakable energy of this band permeates every concert venue down to the last corner and catapults the audience into their multi-layered music.

From their first concerts in 2017, the band quickly won several awards, including the Biberacher Jazzpreis 2018 and the Future Sounds of the Leverkusener Jazztage 2018. Bandleader Jakob Manz was just 16 years old and had already toured Canada, the USA and Eastern Europe with the Bundesjazzorchester (BuJazz0). After their highly acclaimed debut album Natural Energy (ACT 2020), the band toured throughout Germany and performed at some of Germany's biggest jazz festivals, including Leverkusener Jazztage, ELBJAZZ and Jazz Baltica. Their first concerts at international festivals followed in 2023, including Trollhättan Jazz & Blues and the ORA Jazz Festival. Their second studio album "The Answer" was released in 2024 by ACT Music, one of Europe's most renowned jazz labels.
