The Last Mile

The Last Mile from Montreal, Canada are relentless. They are, at their core, a hardcore punk band that can mesmerize a room full of people with their biting intensity and sing-alongs. Whether they are in front of, behind or on stage, they have an incomparably infectious energy that captivates people around the globe. Some say they are actually too punky for a hardcore band, while others think they are simply too hardcore for a punk band. But whatever the case, they always deliver live on stage anyway. And they have already shared the stage on various tours with bands such as Title Fight, Comeback Kid or the Satanic Surfers, as well as in the festival game with NOFX, Petrol Girls, Iron Chic or La Armada. The upcoming release of their second longplayer "Holding on to hope" (Tousand Islands Records / Pavones Records) is a further step for the band towards an even more intense sound. Recorded in Vancouver at the home of their loyal companions Jesse Gander, who has already helped bands like Brutus, Japandroids, DBS or Daggermouth to sound good, and mastered by Jason Livermore, these new tracks represent a real evolution of the band's characteristic, heartfelt songs, which have a touch of modern hardcore without denying their punk roots.
