The Life of Chuck

In the organizer's words:

The world is coming to an end, California is sinking into the sea, the internet is collapsing - but in a small American town, the main thing is gratitude towards Charles "Chuck" Krantz, whose face smiles at everyone from billboards and television and who dies right at the beginning of the story at the age of just 39. Who is this man that nobody really seems to know? A mystery that goes back a long way. The story takes a backwards look at the life of this at first glance unassuming accountant, going back to his childhood with his grandmother, who passed on her endless love of dancing to him, and his grandfather, who was determined to save him from the locked attic. Can the fate of one person change the whole world?
