The Lone Dining Society, the music project founded by composer, singer and multi-instrumentalist Ian Chapman, is an experience in the truest sense of the word. Beyond formal styles and common harmonic arcs, The Lone Dining Society creates its very own fantastically nostalgic art world that transcends the boundaries of music. The Society invites you into a world full of myths and Grimm's fairy tales, expressed provocatively, sometimes almost tragically, but always with a wink like a colorful bag of confetti in a mixture of retro pop, rock and street music. Chapman and his international comrades-in-arms take the listener on a circus journey between brilliant fantasy and unadorned reality, somewhere between setting off and finally coming home.
