The Raindog Radioshow

An audiophile theater evening with a Ukrainian-German cast

An Eastern European ex-revolutionary, pianist and DJ narrates the road trip of his eventful life via radio from a secret recording prison on a desert island.

Each chapter full of exuberant fantasy ends with a song by his favorite singer Tom Waits, interpreted live by a band led by Ukrainian singer Yuliia Kovtun. The stories are inspired by the Ukrainian author Yuri Andrukhovych. They oscillate between resistance, persecution, assassination, love, exile, melancholy and escape, as surreally exaggerated as the current reality appears.
