In the organizer's words:

The band around charismatic mastermind Walter Salas-Humara played alt-rock, alt-country and Americana before critics coined these terms. They stood for sensitive, clever, catchy American songwriting that delighted reviewers and was reflected in the annual lists of the relevant rock magazines (e.g. "Best New Artist" in the American Rolling Stone magazine). The Silos will be celebrating the band's 40th anniversary in 2025 on their tour of Germany and Austria, performing well-known Silos classics and new songs.
