We are facing countless crises. How is humanity supposed to survive them? Perhaps Albert Garcia can help. In his lecture performance, the dancer and media artist presents a special kind of survival guide. Born in Macau as the child of Filipino migrant workers with insecure status, he learned early on that only a hybrid body that is resilient and flexible enough to react to the constant changes in its environment can survive. Full of wit, analytical acuity and love for the absurdities of everyday life, Albert Garcia introduces us to the survival strategies of various experts to overcome border regimes, economic hardship and identity politics and searches for a future that remains for people in an increasingly alienated world.
