Roger Turner visits us with this relatively new trio - although he has been playing with both Kazuhisa Uchihashi and Chris Biscoe as a duo for some time.
The special thing about this trio lies in its unique blend: a technically adept, melodic jazz saxophonist meets two equally virtuoso musicians who, above all, create direct structural complexities. The music is smooth, exciting and full of surprises - rarely predictable. It is characterized by predominantly fast action, but is not necessarily loud.
Chris Biscoe grew up at a time when jazz was in a phase of awakening and change. He is one of those musicians who bridge the worlds of jazz, free jazz and improvised music with musicians from both sides of the Atlantic. He has recorded with leading composers such as George Russell, Mike Westbrook and Chris McGregor.

Kazuhisa Uchihashi has been shaping the language of Japanese improvised music in Japan and around the world for forty years. The pioneering Japanese guitarist has worked with numerous musicians from Derek Bailey to Kevin Ayers, but has remained faithful to free improvisation.
