Every now and then you need a little break to find yourself and recharge your creativity... After 5 years, the two founding members of The Tips, Ali and Janosch, get back together to open a new chapter in the band's 13-year history. With their longtime companion and constant supporter of the band, Lucas Mylord now completes the reggae-rock trio on bass. The band has recharged its batteries to rekindle the love for the band, the sound and the fans that has never been lost and to rock the stages once again! New material is in the works - so you can expect fresh music from the 3rd guys from Düsseldorf very soon. With the new songs, the concept of TWISTS'N'TURNS will be continued and the balancing act between tight reggae grooves, rock with power and soul will be pushed even further.
After the critically acclaimed album TRIPPIN', produced by Guido Lucas and visually staged by none other than Opie Ortiz - the specialist magazine Riddim gave it "full marks" - and the subsequent album TWISTS'N'TURNS, which the German Rolling Stone called "Reggae, rock, punk, soul and social criticism, always with the heart in the right place, i.e. in the left", Metal Hammer found that it was "a real hit by the way" and about which there was talk in England that THE TiPS would redefine a generation's sound: "...The Tips who push it to a whole new level and make their sound that which could define a new generation." THE TiPS have played over 450 concerts alone or together with bands like: Rogers, Mad Caddies, Rakede, Ruts D.C., The Toasters, Jaya The Cat or Rantanplan - just to name a few and festivals like: Chiemsee Summer, Eier mit Speck, Bochum Total, Boomtown Fair, Mighty Sounds, Free & Easy Munich, Jera On Air, Hanfparade, Open Flair). Full of energy and anticipation, they are now embarking on a new journey with the original TiPS recipe.
BONZENBRENNER - not jazz, but awesome. After a long break, the band, founded in 2022, is back with their new single "In Liebe, Vollhass" and has big plans this time. The live shows are full of movement and the music is hard, loud, snappy and generally forward. Too many guitar solos for punk, too snotty for rock 'n roll. All in all: punk 'n roll.
Wiesbaden's FARBVERLUST are playing their very first show today. Fasten your belts and batten down the hatches. With these words, the four musicians open the chorus of their song "Trojan Whale", making it clear that their music is no quiet affair. The newcomer formation from Wiesbaden brings a rock fusion to the stage that is just waiting to be seen and heard. Musically at home in the genres of pop-punk, post-grunge, alternative rock and classic rock-n-roll, Farbverlust write lyrics about inner conflicts, metaphors about social conditions and also concrete, sometimes bizarre, moments. They combine profound questions with tongue-in-cheek humor and let powerful images speak for themselves. In addition to songs that sometimes demand the listener's attention like an alarm, there are also mystical, diabolical or reconciling sounds on Farbverlust.
