Throughout her life, Elvira (Lea Myren) has been overshadowed by her beautiful stepsister (Thea Sofie Loch Næss). To attract the attention of Prince Julian (Isac Calmroth), however, she will use any means necessary. At the cost of blood, sweat and tears, Elvira will stop at nothing to win the prince over.

With her feature film debut, Norwegian director and screenwriter Emilie Blichfeldt presents a furious variation on the classic Cinderella story, which deals with timelessly relevant questions about body image and the perception of beauty under the guise of tongue-in-cheek body horror. Newcomer Lea Myren shines as Elvira in her first film role alongside Thea Sofie Loch Næss ("The Last Kingdom"), who plays her pretty stepsister Agnes. Ane Dahl Torp ("The Wave") took on the role of the mother.
