The Wanton Bishops are a band in the truest sense of the word, but rather the vision of a single man with many facets - Beirut-born Nader Mansour. Their debut album "Sleep With The Lights On", a delta blues record inspired by RL Burnside and Muddy Waters, won all the awards and brought them numerous festival shows such as Glastonbury, Solidays and Nova Rock in addition to appearances as support acts for international greats such as The Who, Guns N' Roses and Lana Del Rey. For the follow-up, Nader traveled to the deep south of America to explore the roots of Mississippi blues. This experience was a musical revelation for him, and he returned to Lebanon a changed man with a newly inspired musical vision. The result is their second album "Under The Sun", which the band is now presenting ive.
