Close your eyes, open your soul, listen to deep lyrics and a clear voice - and it seems as if there is balm for your wounds.
Thea's music creates clarity so that it hurts, puts her finger in the wound and connects. Her lyrics show what she has experienced and observed: enough of the spirit of our time that tries to heal a stab wound with a plaster. Sometimes it just needs an operation. With her voice, Thea Klar takes the listener into worlds of feeling and thought, sometimes accompanied by herself on piano and embedded in warm guitar sounds, sometimes with a full band line-up. The music is inspired by the happiness and injustice of this world, by the longing for reconciliation, by the joy of imperfection and brokenness, by anger at avoidable misery. Her predominantly German texts manage to paint crystal clear pictures of experiences that Thea processes in them: The inner struggle to cope in a time between the compulsion to act politically and to refrain from doing so, between activism and self-care.Her voice comes across sometimes tender and whispering, sometimes combative and strong.

Her third EP "Tief Tauchen" will be released in June 2025 under the label "unserallereins" and tells of the encounter with oneself between isolation and responsibility in these troubled times. Thea does not condemn, but she names the wounds she has experienced in people at their limits and in their encounters with themselves. With her new EP, she has created a hymn to carrying on, to the belief that the plot will still turn - a tribute to people who still take to the streets and take a stand in everyday life against swearing and misanthropy such as racism or sexism. As clearly as her voice tells these stories, it becomes clear: There is a spark of hope in everything. Yes, there is balm for our wounds. In short: indie pop with attitude and depth.
