A scenic collage by the Senior Theater Club Fürth

In cooperation with fübs, Kulturforum & Vhs Fürth

What is a woman? Is there a "typical female"? What roles do women fulfill? Or not? And why? What does it mean to be old as a woman? Where do women stand in society? What was it like in the past and where is it going? Do women want to fight - or not? And if so, for what? What do women want?

The participants of the Senior Theater Club create scenes, stories, images, soundscapes and choreographies from their personal confrontation with these and other questions. Historical and present, future or utopian, everyday and less everyday situations, experiences, thoughts and reveries are woven into a colorful arc of images.

Since the fall of 2009, the Fürth Adult Education Centre has been running a senior citizens' theater club under the direction of theater teacher and actress Cordelia Schuster. The theater club is a cooperation between the adult education center, the "Fachstelle für Seniorinnen und Senioren und die Belange von Menschen mit Behinderung (fübs)" and the Kulturforum Fürth. After several smaller performances, the senior citizens' theater club has put on three larger productions at the Kulturforum ("Grandma's Secret" in 2015, "Freedom, Wisdom, Stubbornness and Dementia" in 2017, "Utopias - from Pink to Dark Grey" in 2019). And in 2025, "Divine! Feminine! Furious!".
